Prudence Rehab have committed to a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). To ensure as part of the health care sector we aim to provide a service that is culturally relevant and appreciate and respect for the cultural diversity within the community.

This year’s NAIDOC theme Get Up, Stand Up, Show Up asks the community for a genuine commitment to systematic change for the Indigenous community. As first steps, our team took part in Indigenous Cultural Awareness & Competency training hosted by Paul Dodd at Corporate Culcha. The workshop helped the whole team with appreciation and respect for Indigenous culture, and understanding how this pertains to the workplace and consumer market.

WellMob, developed by eMHPrac and Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet, provides excellent resources that can assist health care workers within the Indigenous community. Allowing us to provide health care in a way that is culturally relevant to the community.
