Modern Slavery Statement
Prudence Rehab welcomes the Australian Government’s Modern Slavery legislation and supports the efforts of the global community in fighting for a world without slavery.
Prudence Rehab is committed to the eradication of modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour. Pursuant to our mission, and the Modern Slavery Act 2018, we are actively addressing risks in our hiring practices, and supply chains of our business and partners.
Our responsibilities as an occupational rehabilitation provider extend beyond our direct workers and clients. The spirit and mission of Prudence Rehab require us to care for anyone involved in the service we deliver every day.
We expect our stakeholders to share our responsibilities and values, to ensure that the welfare of people who experience poverty and vulnerability is not compromised.
Application
Modern Slavery refers to any situation where a person is forced to work through coercion, or mental or physical threat:
- Where they may be owned, or controlled through threat of abuse;
- Where they may be dehumanized, and treated as a commodity;
- Where they may be constrained, or have restrictions placed on their movement.
Most concerning, modern slavery is often cloaked, and victims are often unable to raise the alarm.
Implementation
As part of our operations to provide occupational rehabilitation services across Australia, we engage a wide range of staff, supplies and purchase products across a wide range of industries and provide rehabilitation solutions for businesses across a broad spectrum of industries. Prudence Rehab is committed to working with our stakeholders, contractors and staff to eradicate modern slavery from our supply chain, through;
- Adherence to Prudence Rehab’s Code of Conduct
- Adherence to Equal Employment Opportunities Policy
- Adherence to Sustainable Procurement Policy
- Incorporation and provision of this Statement during all Consultant and Supplier Onboarding Processes.
Management and review
This policy will be reviewed annually or upon report of a reported contravention of this Statement, and progress will be reported against the Company’s objectives.
